About Cascade Comforts
I started Cascade Comforts in 2000 with a dream of owning my own business and creating something that would bring comfort to others. It all began that Christmas when I sold my first 10 lavender heating packs at a local health food store, before I even had proper packaging—just simple brown paper bags!
Now, over 24 years later, each pack is still hand-crafted by myself in Bellingham, using locally sourced materials and fabrics with the same care and dedication. I attend many local craft shows and farmers markets - be on the lookout for my booth year-round, and be sure to check on my Facebook page for updates on shows I'll be attending.

Behind the Scenes: Handcrafted Heating Packs
Each heating pack begins with locally sourced cotton and organic lavender from Whatcom County. From cutting and sewing to filling with our custom blend, every step is done by hand with care, ensuring a high-quality, soothing product that's ready to bring comfort to your home.
01 Material Sourcing
I begin by choosing locally sourced cotton fabrics & lavender from Whatcom county.
02 Preparation
Next, I cut the fabric according to my templates for heat packs & eye pillows.
03 Sewing & Filling
After the packs have taken shape, I sew & hem each pack using my sewing machine.
04 Final Assembly
Finally, I add the heatable filling & organic lavender, sew & package the packs.
